Interact Club of SMK Seri Saujana

A joint group project titled 'WAR ON DENGUE' had been carried out recently to prevent and reduce the occurrences of dengue fever around the Taman Gembira area. 'WAR ON DENGUE' is a community project organized by several parties like RC Bukit Bintang, RC Sri Petaling, RC Metro KL, RC Titiwangsa, RC KL Diraja, RC Shingal, RC Seongnam, RC Guri Jungang. The event took place on the 19th of February 2012 which was a Sunday from morning until early afternoon.

A few of our Interactors have been invited to participate thus, we certainly wouldn't want to miss out on a chance to help the residents (:

At the start of the event, the Interactors had been given a speech about the aim of this project.
Soon after, our fellow Interactors were divided into groups and visited houses to inform the residents about the 'gotong-royong' that was functioning. Local radio DJ Phoebe from MYFM even went into every house to check for mosquito or larvae.

There was also a DBKL lorry going around to collect all the rubbish in order to provide a clean environment for the residents (:

Overall, it was a great experience for our Interactors. They were able to learn about the ways to prevent dengue fever from happening and were also able to help out others which was a good deed done (:

Lastly, we would like to thank the Rotary Club of Seri Petaling for inviting us to participate in this event. We hope that the 'WAR ON DENGUE' Joint Project will turn out to be a huge success.

Hello, Interactors! I apologize for the inactivity of this blog. Exams are rolling around for us, but that doesn't mean I will neglect my Interact Club duties! Thus, I'm back with a brief post about a recent event a few of our Interactors have participated in. And that is the 1Malaysia NGO's Charity Bowling Event!

It was held at Sunway Pyramid on the 17th of September 2011. Our Interact Club sent a team comprising of 4 of our Interactors to compete! Interactors Gigi, Hsu Huan and Eugene went to support our representative team as well! :D The event went well but unfortunately, our team didn't win. But what matters most is learning how to move as a team and work towards victory as victory is the sweetest when shared (:

On the brighter side, Interactor Edmund won runner-up as an individual player! Congratulations, Interactor Edmund~

Also, we congratulate the winners of this event. And thank you to all the other Interactors who participated and supported. We hope to be a part of another event like this in the future :D The following pictures are from the day of the event. Do enjoy!

On 23rd of July 2011 was the 6th Rotarian Installation Dinner held at Hotel Seri Petaling from approximately 6:30PM until 11PM. A few of our Interactors are most delighted to have been a part of this special event.

The purpose of this Installation Dinner was to install the new President of Rotary Club of Seri Petaling, Mr. Peter Gan as well as the new Rotarians. The Interactors who were there to witness the Installation were Sook Mun, Adrian Kok, Gigi, Hsu Huan, Katherine, Eugene and lastly, Andrew Goh.

The night kicked off with the Installation of the new Rotarians and the Installation of incoming President of Rotary Club of Seri Petaling, Mr, Peter Gan. The Guest of Honour for the night was YB Teresa Kok who was invited to become a member of the Rotary Club.

Throughout the night, there were enjoyable programs such as lucky draws and karaoke sessions. The winner of the lucky draw was given an iPad 2. I'm sure everyone was envious!

Our Interactors certainly had fun at this memorable event. We would like to thank the Rotary Club of Seri Petaling for letting us be a part of this function. Lastly, congratulations to all the new Rotarians installed and the new President of Rotary Club of Seri Petaling, Mr. Peter Gan!

Greetings, fellow Interactors! I am here to blog about the 4th Installation of the Interact Club of SMK Seri Saujana. The event took place on Tuesday afternoon, 12th of July 2011 in the Dewan Akasia of SMK Seri Saujana.

There were approximately 60 people in attendance and the purpose of this function was to install the incoming Board of Directors of year 2011/2012 and not to forget, the new Interactors.
