Joint District Interact Conference 2013. Day 2 & 3

Day 2 started off with breakfast and we departed for Community Service shortly.
It started with an aerobic session to warm up our muscles and loosen up.
We were then divided into our respective groups to clear the dead leaves off the area and packing them into garbage bags.

After Community Service, we had our Self Defence and Personal Safety talk by Assistant Superintendent Mary Ann Arokia Dass. We were taught on the ways to prevent ourselves from getting into danger and ways to overcome them.

Next, we had an Introduction of Youth Exchange by PP Pushpa Krishna after a short tea break. This was followed by Introduction of Rotaract by DRR Chiew Ee Kwong.
Lastly we had an activity based case study by PP KK Looi and Facilitators who helped us to learn to think out of the box.

Day 3 began with morning physical exercise followed by some quizzes about Rotary, Rotaract and Interact.
After that, we were each asked to choose a particular workshop that we were interested in. The choices were: DISASTER AID MALAYSIA, FINANCIAL PLANNING, USING ART TO DO COMMUNITY WORK, CPR AWARENESS, BEYOND DISABILITIES and PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Next, we had Internet Addiction and Prevention by A.S. Mary Ann Arokia Dass followed by Mum & Dad, I Love You by Suni Hasmukharay. We were shown a video about a parent's letter to his child. This video made lot's of interactors break up into tears as it was a touching story.

We then had Outdoor Activities by the Glory Beach Recreation Team. It started with warm ups, followed by the popular and challenging game, Tug Of War, groups against one another.

When the game ended, everyone went to dress up and got ready for the Talent Night. Each group had to come up with a performance and the winners were  shortlisted to 6 groups. One of the groups was
The Y Not, which is the group Int. Alex Tan was in.

The 6 groups then competed on stage for final competition

For the last event of the night, it was PARTY time!

Photo taken from the stage. As you can see, everyone was 'high' and danced along to the blasting music

Here's a short video of the party night, our Camp Commander, Obiwan who went crowd surfing, credits to one of the Interactors from the Conference who posted this in the Joint District 3300/3310 Interact Conference Group on Facebook
